Sivakarthikeyan's maiden production venture 'Kanaa' 's captivating trailer is out and signals an intense woman centric sports drama with a highly motivational plotline. The first thing that strikes in this woman cricket saga is the punch lines that too mouthed by Sivakarthikeyan himself. "When people say you cant you should start believing in yourself and not them' and "The world will not listen to you if you say you are going to win but will listen to the winner...So go win and then speak" are just two examples of the power packed dialogues from the pen of Arunraja Kamaraj that have become a rage on social media.

The story of 'Kanaa' is nicely set up in the trailer as Aishwarya Rajesh's central character makes cricket her passion as a child after watching her father (Sathyaraj) shedding tears after India's loss in a match. The rest of the story is how this girl wins in a man's world against all odds with the backing of her dad and the X factor in the form of Sivakarthikeyan's character.

'Kanaa' is written and directed by Arunraja Kamaraj and stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Darshan, Ramaa, Sathyaraj and Sivakarthikeyan. Music is by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and editing by Ruben. On the whole the team has delivered a winning trailer which hooks with its novel subject, powerful dialogues and sporting spirit at its core.
