‘Kanaka Durga’ Launched with Grandeur: Applause Makes Its Tollywood Debut with Allari Naresh

Renowned content studio Applause Entertainment, known for its successful ventures in the Tamil film industry, has officially stepped into Tollywood. Marking this significant entry, the studio has joined hands with Temple Town Pictures to launch its first Telugu project titled ‘Kanaka Durga’, which was formally inaugurated with traditional pooja ceremonies on Saturday.

The film stars versatile actor Allari Naresh in the lead role, alongside Kajal Choudhary as the female lead. Noted actor Subbaraju will be seen in a pivotal role. The film is based on a devotional theme, with the story penned by B.V.S. Ravi and direction handled by Pradeep Maddali. The project is being jointly produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Ajit Thakur, and B.V.S. Ravi.

‘Kanaka Durga’ aims to present a divine cinematic world inspired by Indian deities, blending elements of devotion, action, emotion, and music to deliver a rich and immersive experience. Being produced under the banner of Temple Town Pictures and presented by Applause Entertainment, the film holds special significance for both production houses.

The launch event was attended by several prominent personalities from the film industry. Among the notable guests were Surekha Konidela, veteran producer Allu Aravind, Shyam Prasad Reddy, director Harish Shankar, writer Kona Venkat, director Prasanth Varma, and producer Swapna Dutt, among others. The ceremony concluded on a spiritual note, with special prayers offered to Goddess Kanaka Durga, celebrating the divine feminine energy.

For the muhurtham shot, Allu Aravind sounded the clapboard, while Surekha Konidela switched on the camera. Swapna Dutt directed the ceremonial shot, and Shyam Prasad Reddy handed over the script.
