Actress Kangana Ranaut delivered one of the best performances of her career in the film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. The film was based on the iconic freedom fighter Rani Laxmi Bai and recently, it completed three years of its theatrical release. On this ocassion, Kangana took to her Instagram stories to share a tweet by Directorate of Film Festivals, India.

The tweet read, "#3YearsOfManikarnika: The #NationalAward winning movie #Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', celebrating the glorious legacy of the fearless queen of Jhansi was released on this day in 2019. The film bagged actress #KanganaRanaut the #NationalFilmAward in #BestActress Category."

One can assume how much the film meant to Kangana by the fact that she named her production house, Manikarnika Films. She has also expressed her interest in directing a sequel to this epic tale.
