Actor Kanja Karuppu, residing in Chennai’s Valasaravakkam area, has been renting a house near Bharathi Park, located behind singer Mano’s house, for the past four years. He has been paying a rent of ₹20,000 monthly and claims to have always paid it on time. Recently, however, a dispute has arisen between him and his house owner, Ramesh, who also operates supermarkets in Chennai's T. Nagar and other areas. According to Karuppu, the house owner suddenly demanded that he vacate the property, even though he assured them that it would be done once he finds a new house.

The actor alleges that while he was away in Madurai, the owner broke into his rented home, moved his belongings aside, and painted the house without permission. Furthermore, Karuppu reports that some of his important possessions, including his Kalaimamani award and other valuables, are now missing.

The actor mentioned that the rental agreement had not been renewed after the first year. He suspects the owner wants to lease the house to someone else for a higher rent and refused Karuppu's request to pay the lease amount himself. Although Karuppu has started looking for another place, he insists that breaking into the house was unreasonable and has filed a complaint with the police regarding the issue. So far, the house owner has not provided any explanation for his actions. If he does, it will be considered and reported appropriately.
