Kapil Dev recalls his World Cup winning moment 

Kapil Dev is one of the finest cricketers of all time and he is also the first Indian captain to lead his team to win the World Cup. Now 38 years after India created history at Lord's, fans are about to witness their journey in Kabir Khan's film '83'. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the role of Kapil Dev and everything suggests that it's going to be epic.

Just couple days ahead of the film's release, Kapil Dev shared the emotions that he felt while lifting the World Cup. In a brief clip shared by official Instagram account of '83', Kapil said, “India ke liye khelna ek sapna tha and a bigger dream was to become the Captain of the National team. And I had never imagined lifting the World Cup on the balcony of Lord’s!"

The caption on the post read, "The Haryana Hurricane, @therealkapildev Sir, invites us all to experience the historic saga unfold! 2 Days To 83. #ThisIs83 83 IN CINEMAS ON 24TH DEC, 2021. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Also in 3D.”
