Karan Johar on why he talks about Alia Bhatt so much

Filmmaker Karan Johar launched actress Alia Bhatt with his film 'Student Of The Year' and since then, he has acted as a mentor of sorts for her. There is no denying that Alia is one of Karan's favourite actors and he himself doesn't shy from admitting this publically. However, it's been observed that Karan mentions Alia a little too frequently in his interviews and in the latest episode of 'Koffee With Karan', he addressed this issue.
The filmmaker said, They say I talk a lot about Alia Bhatt. Do I?....I have to be very aware, because honestly Alia and me had a chat about this. She said, ‘Karan, I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but you have to stop talking about me.’ I’m like, ‘Okay, it’s come from the horse’s mouth, so I have to shut the **** up about her. The other day, I was wearing a jacket that said Italia, and people assumed Alia was written on it.
When asked why he considers Alia as one of the best actors of current time, Karan said, “I really think it is Alia Bhatt, but I shouldn’t say more. I swear on Instagram, I promise from here on that I will keep Alia Bhatt’s mentions to a bare minimum.”
