This happened after the rumor went viral that Kareena has demanded a sum of 12 crore INR for playing the titular role in the film 'Sita'. The film is one of the several projects based on 'Ramayan' which are currently in production.
For people whose religious sentiments get hurt even by slighest of inconsistencies in films and shows, this was certainly a big issue. People have also alleged that such a demand for a role is against humanity.
