Karthi will be next seen in the rural entertainer 'Viruman' produced by Suriya & Jyothika's 2D Entertainment. He teamed up with director Muthaiah for the second time after 'Komban' for this film which marks the acting debut of ace director Shankar's daughter Aditi.

Now, the latest hot news is that the makers are planning a grand audio launch function for the movie next week. As per the reports, the Viruman audio launch is all set to take place on August 3rd in Madurai and the entire team will be flying to the city for the ceremony. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the songs and background score for the upcoming film.

Viruman is said to be built around a father-son relationship. The shooting was wrapped recently, and the post-production work for the film is progressing steadily. The movie also stars Rajkiran, Soori, Prakash Raj and others in supporting roles. It was shot in and around Madurai and Theni districts.

Meanwhile, we already updated you that Karthi's Viruman has swapped the release date with Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra. Sources suggest that Viruman, which was planned to release on August 31, is now preponed to August 11 while Cobra, which was planned on August 11, is now postponed to August 11.
