Karthi is elated that he has fathered a baby boy on Tuesday. The 'Chinababu' star has announced the birth of his son on Twitter.

"Dear friends and family, we are blessed with a boy baby. We can’t thank enough our doctors and nurses who took us through this life-changing experience. Need all your blessings for the little one. Thank you, god!" the 'Khaidi' actor tweeted.

Karthi and his wife Ranjani already have a daughter Umayaal and now she has a little brother to share her life with. 

Karthi's next release will be 'Sulthan' costarring Rashmika Mandanna and he will be shooting for Mani Ratnam's mega multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' in the coming months.
