One of the most important complaint put forth by people opposing Vishal has been the presence of actors Nandha and Ramana always around him, and that they are dominating and not letting people connect with Vishal. Even actor Parthiban had mentioned them as the reason behind him opting out of Ilayaraja 75 event.

Recently, in a TV show actor Karthi who is contesting the Nadigar Sangam elections for the post of treasurer was questioned on who are Nandha and Ramana and what is their role in the Sangam, and Karthi replied that they are working committee members of the association.

When asked if they are the ones running the Nadigar Sangam, Karthi said that the opposition is giving out such false statements, and said they were the ones who were instrumental in conducting the star shows and were involved in the planning, and just because the opposition wants to attack someone, they are targeting Ramana and Nandha, said Karthi.
