Leading Kollywood hero Karthi has carved a niche for himself by balancing out and out commerical entertainers and intense meaningful cinema. He has delivered mostly super hits in his career that include 'Paruthi Veeran', 'Naan Mahaan Alla', 'Siruthai', 'Komban', 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru', 'Sulthan' and most recently 'Kaithi'.

On the personal front Karthi is happily married to Ranjani since 2011 and has a daughter Umayaal born in 2013 and son Kandhan born in October 2020. The busy star has shared a photo taken while he is on a walk with his daughter Umayaal and son Kandhan on vacay in Yercaud. He wrote "First outing for kids (after almost two years of no travel), amidst nature’s beauty.

Karthi's upcoming movies are Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan', 'Viruman' directed by Muthaiah and is currently shooting for 'Sardar' directed by P.S. Mithran.
