The release date of Kaithi is something that has been anticipated for a very long time, not just by fans of Karthi, but Vijay's fans as well, as their star's Bigil is also releasing this Diwali.

Meanwhile, Kaithi's producer, S.R. Prabhu took to Twitter to post a funny template relevant to the current situation, confirming that the release date will be announced at 5 pm today. Rumour has been doing the rounds that Bigil is releasing on October 25, although there is no word from the team on the news yet. Official confirmation is expected soon.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures in collaboration with Vivekananda Pictures, Kaithi also features Narain, George Maryan, Ramana, Dheena, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Yogi Babu, Mahanadi Shankar, Ponvannan, and Thalaivasal Vijay. Sam CS has composed the music for the film.
