Is Karthi's next releasing on this date?

Actor Karthi was last seen playing the lead in debutant Rajath Ravishankar's romantic entertainer Dev, co-starring Rakul Preet Singh, Ramya Krishnan and Prakashraj. The actor's next release will be Kaithi, which had been wrapped and is currently in post production phase.
Directed by Maanagaram director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kaithi has Karthi playing a prisoner and revolves around events happening in a single night. The team had shot the movie in 62 nights. Kaithi also stars Vatsan, Dheena, Narain and has music scored by Sam CS.
The movie's teaser was released before few months, and now the latest speculation making rounds is that Kaithi might be releasing worldwide on September 27. An official announcement on the release date of the movie is expected soon. Kaithi is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
