The Nadigar Sangam elections are scheduled to be held on June 23, and the Pandavar Ani with Nasser, Vishal, Karthi, Karunas on one end, and the Swamy Sankaradas team with K Bhagyaraj, Udhaya, Prashanth and many others on the other end are fighting it out in the elections.

Both the teams are campaigning by traveling across Tamil Nadu, and are meeting the drama artists who are part of the Nadigar Sangam. During the recent campaign at Salem, after the meet with the artists, actor Karthi who is contesting for the post of treasurer met the media and expressed his thoughts.

Karthi said that this election is an unnecessary work, and lot of people are traveling unnecessarily for votes. " Rather than working on finishing the building, we are made to run for votes, which is unwanted. Instead of holding talks and working together for Sangam welfare, here we are fighting to prove who is the leader. Instead of holding this election, we all could have stayed united and finished constructing Nadigar Sangam building" said Karthi.
