Karthi and Trisha two of the most charismatic stars of Tamil cinema finally starred together in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' released on 30th September 2022. Though there were only a few scenes in which they shared screen space their impeccable chemistry left fans wanting more.

It is said that in the upcoming 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' releasing worldwide on April 28th, Karthi and Trisha who play Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan and Kundavai respectively will become a romantic pair. Fans can look forward to more scenes featuring them and a glimpse of that will be seen in the "Aga Naga" song that will release at 6pm tonight.

Meanwhile Karthi started a flirtatious conversation with Trisha in twitter in which he starts by asking her "Ilayapiraati hi..." and when there is no reply for a long time he muses "What...there is no reply". Trisha apparently busy shooting with Thalapathy Vijay for Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Leo' then responded "What do you want oh prince of the Vanarkula clan".

Karthi then goes "Can I get to meet you" to which the pretty lady replies "I will ponder over it and send a message". Vandiyadevan then in his witty tone wrote the rejoinder " I hope you will not offer some buttermilk and dismiss the one who conquered the seas to fulfill your mandate..?. The equally sarcastic Kundavai replies "What else do you want...I hope you will not demand back what you gave me".

The handsome warrior is quick to get to the point "Oh no my princess my life is always yours...Can you arrange for a song for us to vibe when I reach Pazhaiyaarai". The smitten princess obliges him with "Brave one the song is ready...wait till 6pm,".

The unique promotional strategy of the stars for the single release has not only won the hearts of their fans but the neutral ones too on social media. "Aga Naga" the first single from 'PS-2' is tuned by A.R. Rahman, sung by Shaktishree Gopalan and written by Elango Krishnan.

'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is produced by Lyca Productions and stars Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Prabhu, Jayaram, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kishore, Nizhalgal Ravi, Prakash Raj, Riaz Khan and Vikram Prabhu among others.
