'Karthigai' slated for Pongal

'Karthigai', a movie which marks the re-entry of Bollywood actress Nisha Kothari aka Amoha, to Tamil filmdom would hit the screens on Pongal day.

Nisha had worked in Tamil films earlier with the screen name Amoha but later moved to Bollywood and was seen in director Ram Gopal Varma's 'Sarkar', 'James' and 'Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag'. Samiksha plays the other heroine.

M Anjaneya, a popular producer in Tollywood, is foraying to Tamil with 'Karthigai'. He has produced some hit movies in Telugu including the Nayantara-Naresh starrer 'Seema Sastri' and 'Girlfriend'. 'Whistle' - fame 'Vikramaditya' is playing the lead role. Suman, Kadhal Dhandapani, Suman Shetty, Rani, Sathyan, and Srihari are also in the cast.

Veera has penned the story and screenplay, besides directing the film. Says Veera, ' it is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Both versions would hit the screens in January.
