Karthi's 'Naa Peru Shiva 2' to release in January

'Naa Peru Shiva 2', starring Karthi and Catherine Tresa, will hit the screens later this month. Dubbed from Tamil, it is directed by Kollywood filmmaker Pa.Ranjith of 'Kabali', 'Kaala' and 'Sarpatta Parambarai' fame.
Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, S. R. Prakashbabu and S. R. Prabhu, the film is a political action drama.
p >Also featuring Kalaiyarasan, Charles Vinoth, Riythvika, V. I. S. Jayapalan, Poster Nandakumar, and Mime Gopi, it tells the story of a man and his friend who is a political aspirant. The duo gets trapped in a brutal political rivalry.
With cinematography by Murali G and editing by Praveen KL, 'NPS 2' has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
Karthi is currently doing Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan', and 'Sardar'. The latter is a spy thriller directed by PS Mithran. 'Viruman', directed by M Mutaiah, is also in the making.
