Exciting reports have emerged that two well-known celebrities are almost confirmed for Karthi’s upcoming film, and one of them is rumored to be an actress from Maanadu.

Karthi recently completed filming 'Va Vaathiyare', directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, and is currently working on 'Sardar 2', which is expected to wrap up soon. Following this, he will star in his 29th film, directed by a Tamil filmmaker.

The yet-to-be-titled project is said to be a period film set entirely at sea. The shooting is expected to commence in May or June, with the first phase taking place in Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi. Interestingly, both parts of the film are planned to be shot in a single stretch.

Meanwhile, speculations are rife that actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, who starred in Maanadu, is in talks to join the cast, with an official confirmation expected soon. Additionally, comedy legend Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu is also rumored to play a significant role. If both actors come on board, anticipation for the film is sure to skyrocket.
