Kaligniar Karunanidhi who has been admitted to the Kaveri Hospital in Alwarpet in Chennai after a big setback on Sunday night has stabilized according to the doctors.  Thousands of DMK cadres are waiting anxiously for news of their dear leader who has led them for the past fify years.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited the senior politician at Kaveri Hospital this afternoon and the photo taken at that time shows Kalagniar without life support equipment. Stalin and Dayanidhi Maran are seen in a more relaxed mood and this latest update should bring cheer to all the well wishers of modern Tamil Nadu's most impactful political leader.

An added update is Kaveri Hospital has released a new statement informing that Kalaigniar's hospital stay would be extended even though the ailment for which he came in has been resolved.
