A strong voice against caste discrimination - Pariyerum Perumaal teaser review

The Pa.Ranjith backed, Mari Selvaraj directorial 'Pariyerum Perumal' teaser has arrived and the most significant part of it is the explanation of the title which has so far evoked high curiosity.  The title is the name of the hero played by Kathir which translates as "The Almighty who rides a horse".

Coming from the Ranjith stable Neelam Productions 'Pariyerum Perumal' deals with the horrific caste discrimination that still exists like a demon most prevalently in the rural areas.  It can be inferred from the teaser that the protagonist belonging to a lower caste aspires to become a lawyer but his background and the elements of the upper caste throw up the barriers.  A powerful directorial touch is featuring dogs in the very first shot with the hero and his friends ready to batlle which is punctuated by the antagonist calling 'Pariyerum Perumal' a dog.

The teaser of 'Pariyerum Perumal' boasts of being a Santhosh Narayanan musical with him employing the spanish guitar strums in the background to set the mood.  The promising actor Kathir seems to be in full form while both Ananthi and Yogi Babu seem to have much to do in the story.  Sridhar and Selva RK show glimpses of their brilliance in the shots and cuts respectively. The teaser wins big in selling a hard hitting film that has boldness written all over it.
