Within few hours after the sharp reaction from Nayanthara and Tamannah, director Suraj has apologised and taken back his derogatory comments against heroines.

In his official press statement, the director of 'Kaththi Sandai' has said "I am realy sorry and would like to apologise to Tamannah and all the heroines in the industry. My intention was not to show anyone in bad light or hurt their sentiments. I am sorry once again and I take back my comments."

In one of his interviews during the promotions of his Christmas release 'Kaththi Sandai' Suraj's comments about heroines wearing skimpy clothes had incurred the ire of leading heroines Nayanthara and Tamannah who played the female lead in 'Kaththi Sandai'.
