The lukewarm response evoked by his maiden film `Alibaba' has not dampened the spirits of Krishna. The younger brother of director Vishnuvardhan is now ready with his next release `Kattradhu Kalavu'.

Popular ad film-maker Balaji is directing the movie, which has Vijayalakshmi of `Chennai 28'and `Anjathey' fame as the heroine. V M C Haneefa, Santhana Bharathi and Kumaravel are also in the cast. Popular choreographer Kalyan plays a baddie in this film.

Talking about the movie, Krishna says, "It is an entertaining film. It has action, thrills and lots of humour. I play Krishnakumar, a conman. The movie will entertain you in all aspects."

Claiming that he had performed some risky stunts, the actor says, "I wanted to do the stunt sequences myself to bring in more authentication. After taking adequate safety measures, I managed to do them myself. They have come out well".

The film is produced by 'Pattiyal' Sekar, father of Krishna and Vishnuvardhan. He says, "a major portion of the movie was shot in Kashmir. It is the story of a daredevil youth."

On his part, the director says, "It is a Robinhood-kind of a movie. Krishna has handled the role with maturity. Paul Jacob has scored the music. All the songs are targeted at masses."

Showering praise on Vijayalakshmi, the filmmaker says, 'She combines both performance and glamour well. She fits the role to a 'T'. 'Kattradhu Kalavu' will be an important movie in Vijayalakshmi's career".

'Kattradhu Kalavu' is almost complete and ready to hit the screens soon, he says and adds: "Thanks to the script and performance, I have no doubt that the movie would make it big in the box office."
