Kavitha finalized for MLC seat

Kalvakuntla Kavitha was today nominated by TRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for an MLC seat under Nizamabad Local Bodies segment.
As is known, Kavitha is a former Nizamabad parliamentarian, who held the seat in the 2014-19 period. Last year, she lost to the BJP's Dharmapuri Arvind in a nail-biting election.
It may be noted that, recently, TRS leader Bhupati Reddy was ousted for anti-party activities and shifting loyalties to the Congress. The seat has been lying vacant since then. Kavitha's nomination comes in this context.
Even as the Congress is yet to decide on its candidate, Kavitha is billed to win the election with ease.
