Rupali's opening note a rehash
IndiaGlitz [Friday, June 18, 2004 • తెలుగు] Comments

Seasoned director Ravi Raja, joining hands with action star Srihari, has introduced new composer Rupali, the author of this album.

The album does not have a conventional duet except for a teasing number rehashing most of the recent hit numbers. It begins with the likely chart buster Moo Moo Mustafa.rendered by Malgudi Subba, a specialist in seductive numbers, and Viswa.

This is followed by the solo Tananana., sung by Madhavi who breathes life into it with her unusual voice. The next, a folk number,Pattu Pattu By Malathai and chorus is catchy.

The other side opens with title song Kedi No 1', describing the dare-devil attitude of the protagonist. Then comes a racy teasing number and the album's only duet,Pibili Song rendered by Mano and Madhavi. This is nothing but a rehash of recent hits from `Indra', `Okadu', `Simhadri' and others. Rupali signs off with a repetition of chart buster Moo Moo Mustafa.

All the songs are targeted at front-benchers The director seems to have insisted on the female solos in order to exploit the charms of glam girl Ramyakrishna.
