Keerthy Suresh had a great 2018 as she was critically acclaimed for her brilliant portrayal of legendary actress Savithri in 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' and also tasted commercial success with Suriya's 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' and Vijay's 'Sarkar'. She is currently busy with Malayalam and Telugu projects and so far did not sign any Tamil films in 2019 though she was rumoured to have been approached for Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Darbar' but the role went to Nayanthara.

There is a buzz that Karthik Subbaraj is in talks with Keerthy Suresh for a new movie to be produced under his home banner Stone Bench Creations. It is said that a debutante will be directing and the official announcement will come once talks are finalized.
