Kerala priest’s scandal with woman causes outrage

Fr James Mangalassery, a priest from the Catholic church in Vellayamkudi of Kattappana in Idukki district, Kerala, is in the news over a sex scandal.  A few pics in which he is seen in a compromising position with a woman were leaked online.  Idukki Diocese has announced that he was suspended two months ago.  

The accused priest has no longer been a Vicar since March 24, the church said on Saturday.  The woman seen in the intimate pics is an employee of the church. She is likely to lodge a complaint.  Married and a mother of two kids, the woman has been embarrassed by the leaked pics.  

It’s believed that the intimate pics found their way into the Internet from a mobile shop, where the priest’s phone reached for a repair.
