Anupam Mishra IAS, the sub-collector of Kollam has escaped the 14-day quarantine period which had been mandated as he had recently returned from Singapore's journey and it is said that he has now traveled to Lucknow.

As said by Kollam district collector Abdul Nassar, Anupam Mishra arrived at Kerala from Singapore on March 18 and as a precautionary measure, he was told by the health officials to stay at home self-quarantined.

However, when the health officials reached hid home for a routine check-up on quarantine patients yesterday, they were shocked to see the Sub-Collector's home locked. When contacted, Anupam said he's in self-quarantine in Bangalore with his brother, who is a doctor but when police traced his mobile phone his location had been traced to Lucknow. Following the irresponsible act, a report has been submitted against Anupam and action will be taken against him, said collector Abdul Nassar.
