Dhanush after the poignant 'Power Pandi' is gearing up to direct his next film to be produced by Sri Thenandal Studios which will go on floors soon.  The film has Dhanush in the lead role with another powerful character for which both Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna were approached but could not accept due to date issues.

The 'DD2'/D37' team has now approached Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep to play the paralell lead role in the movie and he is said to have been impressed by the story line.  Sudeep is very popular in all the South states after starring in 'Naan E' directed by S.S. Rajamouli and also sharing screen space with Thalapathy Vijay in 'Puli'.  Official confirmation about his nod to do the Dhanush directorial is awaited.
