Koena will play Zahira

Ujjwal Chatterjee is a celebrated and strong director. Love stories are not his forte. He has now decided to make a film on Zahira Sheikh. The film will have the backdrop of the Godhra carnage.
The film will highlight the political pressure on the woman that forced her to keep changing her statement in the media. The role for the leading lady has been offered to Koena Mitra.
The director is planning to cast Vivek Oberoi as the male lead. The film will highlight the pains and problems Zahira went through in this entire episode right from the riots to her jailing.
The director has previously made a film on Taliban terrorism called Escape from Taliban with Manisha Koirala that could not do much at the box office.
