RIP! Koko - The Talking Gorilla passes away

Koko the most intelligent Gorilla ever known has passed away at the age of 46 in her sleep on Tuesday and The Gorilla Foundation has released a statement ""Koko touched the lives of millions as an ambassador for all gorillas and an icon for interspecies communication and empathy...She was beloved and will be deeply missed."

Koko learned sign language when she was a kid and is said to understand 2000 words and can converse freely with humans. She loved kittens and showed maternal love to them. She also made famous friends and the late actor Robin Williams was one whose company she loved. In 2014 when Williams died and Koko was told she showed visible grief of having lost a friend.
