Arunraja Kamaraj, one of the young and promising lyricist and singers of Tamil cinema has colloborated with GVP for the 'Kombu Vecha Singamada', a song video to support Jallikattu. He has penned the lyrics for this song that will be released very soon. The duo have announced that the entire revenue from this song will be donated to Tamil Nadu Farmers who ares struggling to make ends meet in this drought situation.

The Captain kept his promise and launched an agitation near Alanganallur Vaadi Vasal in Madurai against the Jallikattu ban on the 9th of January. Speaking to a large crowd the DMDK leader said that he himself had participated in jallikattu in his younger days and has raised bulls as children at home. He said it is time to rescue Tamil culture and identity and also demanded a ban on PETA.
