Kona Venkat clarifies comments on Pawan Kalyan

In his latest interview to the daily Sakshi, writer-producer Kona Venkat made certain comments on Pawan Kalyan. He said that the Jana Sena chief has been misguided on two issues: his alliance with BSP's Mayawati, and his latest stance on the treatment accorded to Andhra people in Telangana.
Kona's interview where he is not unequivocal in praising Pawan hasn't gone down well with many Jana Sena supporters.
On Tuesday, the writer-producer has clarified that he has high regard for Pawan. As a friend of him, I want him to succeed in politics. This is what I told the newspaper but they didn't publish this line. Pawan garu praised KCR's non-partisan rule only last year. So, I got suspicious that someone must be misleading him to make the statements that he has been giving of late. When it comes to friendship, nothing should be a barrier. I wholeheartedly wish him the best in his endeavours, Kona said in a statement.
Kona has campaigned for a relative and producer MVV Satyanarayana, both of whom are contesting on YSRCP tickets this time.
