The team of Kootathil Oruvan decided to go a step forward by making a special video grab as a tribute. With a hashtag of #Kootathilioruvantoaayirathiloruvan the promo videos show Dhoni's astonishing progress in his career.

KO has Ashok Selvan playing the middle bench boy, the story is set on lines of an average performer and his lifestyle. Priya Anand plays the love interest with Gnanavel directing this comedy drama. The film was wrapped up a while ago with the makers looking for an apt release date.
