The film ‘Kubera’, featuring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil, is directed by Shekhar Kammula and jointly produced by Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations. It is set for a grand release in five languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, on June 20.
The Hindi audio launch event took place in Mumbai, where actor Dhanush confessed, "I don’t know Hindi," before switching to English to share his thoughts.
Dhanush described Kubera as a unique and special film, unlike anything he’s done before. He said it holds a special place in his heart and hopes his co-stars feel the same. He praised the director, Shekhar Kammula, calling him an intelligent filmmaker.
Speaking about his role, Dhanush said it was different from any of his previous characters and he enjoyed the challenge. He added that he simply followed the director’s guidance, who also helped him understand the subtleties and mannerisms for the role.
Recalling the filming experience, Dhanush mentioned they shot for 6-7 hours in garbage trucks and dumps. When he commented on the foul smell, the director casually replied that he didn’t feel anything odd. This intense yet memorable experience added realism to his performance.
Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and the rest of the film crew also attended the event.
