The countdown has begun for 'Ready' and before that anything and everything which is arriving in theaters can't expect much happening for them. There are two Hindi films which are arriving though - 'Kucch Luv Jaisaa' and 'College Campus'. While 'Kucch Luv Jaisaa' still seems to be carrying some promise at the least, 'College Campus' is seemingly a C grade affair that won't even find an all India release.

It is in fact surprising to see that 'Kucch Luv Jaisa' is arriving this week when it could have done much better had it released in a more comfortable time period. Its promos are looking nice and the very USP of an unusual casting of Shefali Shah and Rahul Bose could have churned to the fullest. However this Vipul Shah production is seeing a sudden release for itself which means footfalls would be minimum to begin with.

The makers would be hoping though that word of mouth and reviews help it's case though it has to be seen whether it manages to sustain itself in the second week once 'Ready' ends up dominating majority of screens. As for 'College Campus', it doesn't feature any notable names and would be quite content with just seeing the light of the day.

All of this would mean that 'Haunted' has a field day ahead for it all over again. Maintaining a steady run for itself and assuring itself 25 crores in collections after three weeks flat, this Vikram Bhatt directed film is now the surprise hit of the year. It is not just one of the top grossers of 2011, it is also the only clean hit other than 'Yamla Pagla Deewana' and 'Tanu Weds Manu'. 'Today's flop-star could be tomorrow's 'most wanted'' - that has been proven all over again with 'Haunted' which has now resurrected Mahakshay Chakraborty's career.

Enjoying a steady run ever since its release, it has now set a benchmark for 3D films coming out of Bollywood.
