Kushboo Sundar quits Congress, to join BJP

Kushboo Sundar has quit the Congress party, of which she has been a loyal member for several years. The yesteryear actress will be joining the BJP later in the day.
She said that she joined the party after it had received a drubbing in the 2014 elections. A few elements seated at a higher level within the party, people who have no connectivity with the ground reality or public recognition are dictating terms and people like me who wanted to work for the party sincerely, are being pushed and suppressed, Kushboo said in a letter to Sonia Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress.
I after a long, thorough thought-process over a period of time have decided to end my association with the party, Kushboo added.
It's said that Kushboo was miffed with the Congress party after she was denied a Lok Sabha ticket in 2019.
