The much-anticipated political action thriller L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, hit theatres on March 27, 2025. Despite receiving a mixed response from critics and sparking some controversies, the film has turned out to be a massive box office success. It has grossed over ₹265 crores worldwide, making it the latest blockbuster in the Malayalam film industry.

Empuraan is now available for streaming on Jio Hotstar in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The film also features English subtitles, making it accessible to a wider audience. It was released on OTT platforms just four weeks after its theatrical debut, offering another chance for movie lovers who couldn't catch it in theatres.

Alongside Mohanlal, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Abhimanyu Singh, and Manju Warrier in prominent roles. The movie is a collaboration between Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies. The music for the film has been composed by Deepak Dev.

Currently, there is no official announcement regarding the digital premiere of the Hindi version of the film.
