Lakshmis NTR release in AP gets date

'Lakshmi's NTR', whose release in Andhra Pradesh was stalled by a court order, has got a release date after 40 days of delay. Ram Gopal Varma took to Twitter to announce the release date.

"Finally, 'Lakshmi's NTR' is now releasing on MAY 1st in ANDHRA PRADESH. Watch the conspiracies that happened behind NTR's back," the director wrote.

May 1st is a safe date for the political thriller. 'Arjun Suravaram' has been postponed. There are no other notable releases in Telugu. Its only competitor is 'Avangers: Endgame'.

It has to be seen if 'Lakshmi's NTR' will make the cut in AP. Usually, controversial films sell well.
