Legendary Hollywood actor Peter Fonda passed away at the age of 79 due to respiratory problems arising from lung cancer with which he battled for a long time. He is survived by his sister actress Jane Fonda and children Bridget and Justin. Son of Hollywood great Henry Fonda, Peter is known for a number of classics including 'Easy Rider', 'The Hired Hand' (which he also directed), 'Open Season' and in later years 'Ghost Rider', 'Wild Hogs', '3:10 to Yuma' and others.

Jane Fonda with whom Peter lived in his last days has emotionally shared to Deadline "I am very sad. He was my sweet-hearted baby brother, the talker of the family. I have had beautiful alone time with him these last days. He went out laughing.”
