Actor Yogi Babu has broken his silence over recent allegations made by a film producer who claimed that the comedian demanded ₹7 lakh to attend a promotional event for the film Gajana. The accusation sparked criticism online, suggesting that Yogi Babu skipped the event over payment issues.
Addressing the controversy during the promotional event for his latest film
Jora Kaithattungal, Yogi Babu clarified his stance and responded calmly to the criticism.
"They’re talking because I didn’t attend one film festival. I acted in that film for just two days—only because someone who had once been my assistant requested it. I congratulated him out of goodwill. Now, they’re blaming me for not showing up for promotions. Should I be expected to promote every project I do a cameo in?"
He further added, “Jora Kaithattungal is my film. If I don’t attend this promotion, you can question me. But not for something I was barely a part of.”
In response to claims about payment demands, Yogi Babu remarked, “I have a list of people who are ready to pay me to appear for promotions. If I share that list, will you go collect the money? Don’t rush to speak without knowing the facts. Let them talk—God will take care of them.”
His dignified yet pointed response has been well-received by fans, who praised his clarity and calm approach in handling the situation.
