Lokesh Kanagaraj has become one of the most talked-about filmmakers in South India after delivering the blockbuster hit 'Kaithi' starring Karthi and going on to complete 'Master' with the dream combo of Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi. To crown it all the young director has bagged 'Thalaivar 169' produced by Kamal Haasan and starring Superstar Rajinikanth.

The coronavirus and the lockdown all over the world has not only stalled the release of 'Master' but has also pushed the commencement of 'Thalaivar 169' to possibly the end of 2021 or even further. The reason is both the legends have to now complete their respective pending films 'Annaathe' and 'Indian 2' and also tackle the upcoming Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections set in May 2021.

The news now is that Lokesh Kanagaraj will soon start 'Kaithi 2' starring Karthi and before that he has also signed a Telugu film with Mythri Movie Makers and we already broke both these news to you earlier.

We now have the info from reliable sources that young Telugu superstar Ram Charan Teja is likely to be the hero in Lokesh's next movie which will also have a Tamil version. Ram Charan who is currently working in Rajamouli's ambitious 'RRR' is looking at this project as a worthy follow up.

Of course this is showbusiness and anything can change at any moment so we have to keep our fingers crossed for the official update on this news.
