Love Break Ups Zindagi tells the classic tale of youngsters who meet, get attracted and then try to find an answer to the eternal question - 'Kya yeh pyaar hai'. However it's the treatment that makes this one line plot much more interesting and engaging affair. What works most for the film is the fact that it is treated with utmost simplicity that allows life and love to find their own way. This means that those looking for some heavy duty drama could perhaps look the other way because the film follows path of smiles more than any tearjerker moment.

So even when there are break-ups taking placing in the narrative, there are no ugly moments filling the screen. On the contrary there are several sweet-nothing moments that make 'Love Break Ups Zindagi' the kind of film that would be related to most by those who have been fed on Hollywood romcoms and are taken in by the subtle narrative that takes it's own pace and doesn't lead to any heavy duty melodramatic moments. This is pretty much evident in the love story between Zayed and Dia as well, both of whom hold back before making any declarations.

While it is this love story which has its warm moments, the one which is absolutely adorable is that which involved Cyrus Sahukar and Tisca Chopra. No, it isn't riotous that would end up bracketing it as a comedy track. However it ensures that the entire unconventional and unpredictable scenes that follow are whole heartedly grabbed by the audience.

However there are places in the film where you do end up missing the fun element. First is the one where youngsters in the house sneak out an ailing Farida Jalal for a quick outing. Then the second where a friend of Dia starts visiting each of her three ex-boyfriends. The third is the entire puppy episode which just drags on the drama. Frankly, you do start losing interest during these portions of the film. Even otherwise there are a couple of other points in the first half as well as the second half where you do want the narrative to speed up a little.

Leaving aside such blemishes, what helps though is that intrinsic sweetness of the film that keeps your interest alive in the proceedings. First interaction between Dia and Zayed at the bus stop, number of conversations between Zayed and Cyrus around love, each of the scenes featuring Zayed's girlfriend and then the best of all, that absolutely hilarious sequence between Boman Irani and Cyrus that turns out to be highlight of the film. While amongst cameos, Boman steals the show and Shahrukh Khan is at his charming best, the scene featuring Riteish Deshmukh doesn't work because of its least importance to the film.

What is important though to the film are it's four songs (by Salim-Sulaiman), each of which appears at just the right point in the narrative and is shot well too, just as is the case with the rest of the film that has a polished look throughout. Amongst actors, this is the best act ever by Zayed as well as Dia, both of whom give their all and ensure that play the part with utmost conviction and honesty. Cyrus is a scene stealer while Tisca is a perfect natural. Vaibhav Talwar is decent while Satyadeep Mishra and Auritra Ghosh give decent support. Pallavi Sharda, as Zayed's girlfriend, plays her part well without going overboard.

'Love Break Ups Zindagi' begins with a statement - 'Someone said that opposites attract' and then ends with a suggestion - 'Find someone like minded and get set in life'. Well, this could well have been the thought process behind coming together of Dia Mirza, Zayed Khan and Sahil Sangha as well who can be pretty much seen in synch with each other as they come up with their first ever movie making effort.
