Lovey-dovey flicks to watch out for

  • IndiaGlitz, [Wednesday,February 17 2010]

Here are two films coming in a span of less than a fortnight. They are full-fledged love stories, starring young actors in their 20s and hope to attract the attention of college-goers, when finals exams are round the corner.

If Nag Chaitanya will be seen as a cute boy in Yemaya Chesave, which is about a girl and a boy, from diverse religious backgrounds, falling in love, Varun Sandesh-starrer Maro Charithra is the remake of K Balachandar's ultra-popular film of the same name.

Incidentally, both the films deal with inter-community love affairs. The return of lovey-dovey stories is a trend to watch out for. For many years, we have not seen full-on love stories on the anvil.

So, it is only clear that if these two films turn out to be hits, the trend is sure to pick up. The question is, can we expect the return of the lover boy on the big screen?
