Recently the big budget entertainer Lucifer starring Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal was released amidst huge expectations, and the movie which marks the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran also stars an array of stars including Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi and many others.

The movie happens to be a political thriller, with Mohanlal being the guardian of a family in trouble after the fall of a political leader and the events happening towards electing the next leader. The movie has grossed more than 60 crores within less than a week and is running successfully. Now the movie has faced troubles from Kerala police, due to a poster.

In one of the sequences in the movie, Mohanlal kicks a police officer in his khaki uniform played by John Vijay, and the team had used this scene in one of the posters, and now Kerala police association has sent a petition to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and demanded a ban on this poster. They have said that there are attacks on Kerala police these days and such posters will encourage violence against police and people will lose fear on cops. They also demanded that just like smoking and drinking statutory warnings, films must also have a disclaimer reading that attacking cops is unlawful.
