Ascar films V Ravichandran is one of the most famous producers down south who had created big films like Anniyan and Dasavatharam. After decades in the industry, the big name and banner is finally landing into Mollywood with a humorous flick, 'Lucky Jockers' that is likely to be lapped up by the Kerala audience. The movie will feature almost all the important comedy stars of Mollywod in important roles.
The highlight of the movie is a special dual role played by Suraj Venjaramood along with Ajmal, Jagadish, and Jagathy Sreekumar. The slapstick comedy is all based around the attempts of many to somehow get into the costly treasure of diamonds, that is said to be in the famous Vishnu Puram place, handed over to them by a Nepali king, thousand of years ago. Krishanvarma thampuran played by Jagathy Sreekumar is the current Rajah of the palace Ajmal plays the role of a Prince who finds to his dismay that the treasure is lost. He now sets out on a adventurous hunt for an ancestral diamond. Suraj Venjaramood will appear in double roles as a fraud Sanyasin Himagirisringan and also as a Tamilian named Narasimha Gowundar. Tamil top comedian Vadivelu will make a special appearance in the movie, which will also have Jagadheesh, Janaardhanan, Ashokan, Indrans, Jaffer Idukki, Saju Kodiyan, Madhu, Anoop Menon,Akhil, Anwar ,Kulappulli Leela, Zubi and Mala Aravindan in the cast lines. Apart from the numerous comedy scenes, the movie will also feature many risky thrilling sequences which is shot at many places in Kerala, Nepal and Malaysia.
The film directed by Sunil is scripted by famous comedy star Saju Kodiyan. While Bharani K Dharan cranks the camera, P C Mohanan does the editing. The music department is handled by M Jayachandran who sets the tunes to lyrics written by Sreekumaran Thampi and Rajeev Alunkal. 'Lucky Jockers' will grace the theaters in a few weeks.
