Popular lyricist and writer Na.Muthukumar celebrates his 41st Birthday today.,
Muthukumar is easily the busiest lyricist in Kollywood today. He is prominent among the young generation lyricist who emerged in 1990. He pens hundreds of film songs every year. He also holds the distinction of winning the National award for the Best lyrics for two consecutive years for his songs 'Ananda Yaazhai Meettugiral' -in 'Thangameengal' (2013) and 'Azhage Azhage' in 'Saivam' (2014).
Muthukumar's lyrics is characterized by selection of decent and chaste Tamil words. He has never resorted to double meaning words or vulgarity in his lyrics. Usage of non-Tamil words is very minimal in his songs. He is equally talented in penning lyrics with lucid terms as well as highly poetic verses with a lot of metaphorical verses. He has also penned dialogues for films such as 'Kireedom'. Collections of poetry, essays, short stories, and novels written by him have been released as books.
