A major star opts out of Simbu's 'Maanaadu'?

Simbu's new movie 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu is one of the upcoming projects in Tamil that has a lot of expectations riding on it. After the long coronavirus induced delay the shooting of the film went on nonstop for over a month in Pondicherry and the team returned to Chennai.

It is now said that Bharathiraja who was set to play an important character in 'Maanaadu' has opted out of the project due to date clashes. According to sources the veteran director is busy with many projects as an actor and is currently shooting for a new movie with G.V. Prakash in Sathyamangalam which requires bulk dates as well.

Bharathiraja's exit from 'Maanaadu' has not been officially confirmed and if so his replacement is also unknown at this point of time.

'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabu is produced by Suresh Kamachi with music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The ensemble cast comprises of Simbu, Kalyani Priyan, S.A. Chandrasekhar, S.J. Suryah, Karunakaran, Manoj K Bharathi, Arvind Akash and Premgi Amaran.
