Simbu fans disappointed after producer's official update

Simbu has one of the most enviable fan followings in Tamil cinema irrespective of whether his films release regularly or the box office outcome. The week has been one of high celebrations for him and his fans after he touched the one million followers mark on Instagram. At the same time, the 'Maangalyam' song that Simbu sang for 'Easwaran' garnered 100 million views on YouTube giving more joy to his fans.

In the meantime, the first single from the charismatic star's upcoming movie 'Maanaadu' was expected to be released a few weeks back but due to the sudden passing away of director Venkat Prabhu's mother, it was postponed.

Simbu fans have been expecting the single from 'Maanaadu' to release soon but producer Suresh Kamachi has given disappointing news. He has written in Tamil on Twitter Every passing day news of people losing lives is what one hears during the pandemic. There is no place in the heart for celebrations when people are waiting in front of hospitals with the fear of coronavirus in their minds.

Suresh Kamachi has added I consider heartlessly releasing the 'Maanaadu' single at this juncture as an inhumane move. Let the lockdown be released and people return to a semblance of normalcy and till then my dear friends please wait with prayers for others in your hearts. Thank You.

'Maanaadu' a SciFi thriller has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and stars Simbu and Kalyani Priyadarshan as the lead pair with S.J. Suryah, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Aravind Akash, Manoj K Bharathi and S.A. Chandrasekhar in the cast.
