Director A.R. Murugadoss is directing a new film starring Sivakarthikeyan titled "Madarasi." The title teaser for the movie has already been released by the production team. In a recent interview with the Times of India, Murugadoss shared insights about the film, including the theme and Sivakarthikeyan’s character.

He explained that the story begins from a North Indian perspective, as South Indians were traditionally called "Madarasi" by North Indians. However, this term is now used less frequently. Murugadoss stated that the film is about how North Indians view South Indians, making the title apt.

Regarding Sivakarthikeyan's role, Murugadoss revealed that the actor is already known for action films, and this movie will take him to the next level. He will sport a rugged look, and his character will be someone who doesn’t care much about appearances.

Like his previous films "Ghajini" and "Thuppakki," this project also includes a unique element, though he refrained from revealing details. He also mentioned that Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal, who has declined villain roles in big hero films, readily accepted this one. When approached, Jammwal initially agreed without knowing the script, and after hearing it, he was even more excited.

Additionally, actors Biju Menon and Shabeer have strong roles in the film. Murugadoss mentioned that only 12 days of climax shooting remains. He assured that this commercial film will definitely satisfy Sivakarthikeyan’s fans.
