‘Vettai’, a much-anticipated film is managing to make news each day what with the star and crew value of the film. When IndiaGlitz organized a special event where fans got to meet and interact with Maddy aka Madhavan and Jammy aka Arya, Madhavan confirmed that talks are on for the Hindi version of the film and he’d love to reprise the same role in the remake as well!

When a fan questioned Maddy of why he didn’t accept a role in the remake of ‘3 Idiots’ (read Nanban) and whether he’ll be a part of the Hindi ‘Vettai’, pat came the reply from the actor, “I am 41 now and I can’t act as a student, for 3 Idiots I had to prepare myself for two years to get into the role and I couldn’t do it now so I refused the offer but film seems very promising and great! And yes, talks are on for the Hindi Vettai and if all goes well I’d love to reprise the same role in Hindi as well”.

Madhavan’s pan Indian presence and star value needs no introduction so we can be sure audience would love to see him in the Hindi version as well. Maddy plays Arya’s elder brother in the film and will be seen as a cop who, unlike other tinsel town cops will be seen in a close to reality role.

“When Linguswamy approached me with this role I politely refused since I can’t run behind baddies thanks to my knee problems but he told he’ll wait for me and I was touched. After listening to the script I couldn’t refuse as the plot is racy and has everything in it to make a hit”, said Maddy.

Madhavan currently has ‘Jodi Breakers’ with Bipasha Basu in Hindi and ‘Vettai’ in Tamil. So how excited are you to watch your matinee idol, Madhavan, pull the shutters down again?
